Unfortunately, it’s time to swallow my pride and admit that I do not have the financial resources to keep supporting my extended family. So, I am asking for some help to get us through.

On February 6th, my wife, Venessa, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon cancer. On February 11th she underwent surgery to remove a blockage in her Colon, part of her Colon and several Lymph nodes. Now we impatiently wait for pathology results and a PET scan to see how much further the cancer has spread. We do know that she will be facing Chemotherapy in the coming weeks.

We now need to address the concerns of her ongoing medical and treatment costs. Not to mention keeping a roof over the heads of our extended family. We do not know what the future holds, but wait with hope in our hearts.

6 years ago, my grandson was left Tetraplegic in a car accident, since then we have modified our home to suit his needs and help with his ongoing care. In March 2018 I retired from work to take over as his primary carer, so that his mum could study at University. After a family meeting between Venessa, myself, my daughter in law, my son and their 3 boys to discuss the plan it was decided that I was best suited to stay home and care for all 3 boys. Venessa, opted to continue as the primary income earner to help facilitate the changes. Which worked out well for all concerned, until now.

Now with Venessa unable to continue working because of her Cancer, the inevitable delays in hopefully getting some sort of income support and the increase carer duties, I am forced to ask for help to pay bills, medical and treatment expenses.

For over 30 year both of us have never failed to help others in their time of need, whether it was financial or personal support, only ever hoping for a simple thank you in return.

Now I turn to you and ask you to find it in your hearts to please help us.
