Don’t build a wall…build a well!
430 students of the Hosanna School wake up before the sun rises, take a cold bath, put on their school uniforms, walk the dusty roads and narrow paths through a dangerous gang-occupied area of Santa Ana, El Salvador. There they are received by qualified, loving Christian teachers who help instill values and teach education with excellence. Each student is one rescued from poverty and delinquency right here in El Salvador.
The Hosanna School needs a well. The water bill for the past eight months has been more than $6,000, taking away valuable resources that can be used for the children’s education. $40 per child could help us drill a well, put in a 5,000 liter storage tank, and a solar-powered pump to provide water for drinking, the cafeteria and bathrooms. We have a person that can drill the well now, but we need your help! Everything we do at the Hosanna School is funded by donations from people just like you. 100% of the funds received will go to the well project.
Founded by Kenton Moody (who has spent the last 10 years living and working in El Salvador) in 2013, the Hosanna School is the only private school and Christian education institution in the entire sector. He chose this area in order to make a difference in the lives of students who otherwise, would not have much of a chance. It has grown from 132 students 7 years ago (Kindergarten through sixth grade), to 430 students (Kindergarten 4 through High School). Each student only pays $4 per month to attend classes and many are on full scholarship and pay nothing. They receive quality education, computer, English, and Bible classes from Kindergarten through high school. Each student is offered free meals for free each morning and homework reinforcement. Many students receive free uniforms, school shoes, books, backpacks and school supplies as well.
Your gift today makes a difference in the lives of hundreds of students and their families through clean water. These children are here in El Salvador learning. Don’t build a wall…build a well!
