**5/18/20 Update**  Thanks to your generosity, and to the donations of some lovely businesses listed below, we are now hoping to send 1,000 decontamination kits to frontline healthcare workers around the state of New Mexico!!  Thank you for demonstrating that New Mexico is united in caring, and thank you, healthcare workers!

Almost all of my friends in New Mexico are doctors. Time and again, I have watched them put their patients first and themselves last. I started making decontamination kits for them because I didn't want them to die of COVID-19 or to accidentally bring it home and infect their families.  I also wanted some way I could help, since they are sacrificing so much. And, to be honest, my friends are scared of COVID.  We have to help.

Our frontline healthcare workers in NM are some of the hardest-working in the nation.  We're not a rich state, so we don't have a ton of resources.  Even so, our healthcare teams always somehow make do with what they have.

Now my clinical friends and some neighbors are all pitching in and we're making as many decontamination kits as we can to protect our healthcare workers in NM.  The kits are also a great way to say "thank you" to the front line.

I'm not a doctor or a nurse, and I can't save anyone's life, but I can do this.  And, you can, too, by donating to our fund and helping us to buy the supplies for the decontamination kits.

Each $10 kit includes:
   -Spray bottle with disinfectant
   -Garbage bags for contaminated clothes
   -Ziplock bags for keys & cellphone
   -Plastic container for contaminated shoes
   -Instructions for setting up a decontamination station at home
   -Phone number for the NM hotline for healthcare workers in need of help

Our next delivery with the National Guard is on Friday, May 22, so please donate soon.  We will continue making the kits as the donations roll in (so if you missed the 5/22 deadline, you can make the next run).
