Donald Purifoy is the father of a beautiful daughter named Makayla, he recently married an amazing woman named Charmagne. Don is an 8-year Army veteran where he served as an Air Traffic Controller and has served in South Korea, Honduras, Afghanistan, and of course multiple locations in the United States. Don is currently working for the DOD as a Controller at Troy Municipal Airport working with Soldiers and Civilians in the Aviation industry.
In April Don began having health complications. It started with a 15-minute seizure and 45 minutes of unconsciousness shortly after work, had it not been for a fellow Soldiers quick action Don could have lost his life. After being rushed to the hospital and having multiple tests done, the doctors found a mass in Don's brain. A few days later he would undergo surgery to remove the mass. Don would eventually be diagnosed with level III Oligodendroglioma (malignant brain cancer). Unfortunately, the chances of Don beating this cancer is almost zero. While Don still remains focused on his family, friendships, and witnessing the lord's daily blessings; he is unable to work, drive, or operate any equipment. For the past two months, Don and his family have been surviving on donated vacation time from his coworkers, unfortunately, that leave will run out in mid-June and his family will have no income until his medical retirement is completely processed which could take up at least 4 months. We ask for any help, whether it be monetarily, prayer, or positive energy.
All donations will go to Don and his family. Donations will help to cover any unforeseen medical expenses, living expenses awaiting retirement, and will allow Don's family to travel to assist him with these life-altering diagnoses. Don has a huge support group but unfortunately, many family members cannot afford the travel or accommodations. If we can remove one worry for Don and his family lets do it.
Many of you personally know Don and his family, you know the type of person he is. He's the kind always offers his home to you and would give his last dollar if you needed it. A lot of us have needed help before and Don was there for us. Don is a person who still has faith in humanity, he also restores other peoples faith in humanity through his actions. Those of you who have met him know how great of a father, husband, and friend he is; those who haven't met him, watch the video to see a glimpse of Don's life.
