Don pour Danielle Depatie plusieurs opération au cerveau.

Aujourd'hui, nous avons besoin de votre aide précieuse pour Danielle Depatie (30 ans), maman d'une petite fille de 3 ans (Sarah-lee), enceinte de 4 mois de jumeaux, conjointe de Pierluc, soeur de Jessica, fille de Marc et Sherry.

Jeudi le 4 juillet ça vie à basculée, Danielle a commencé à éprouver des difficultés de motricité du côté gauche et c'est donc rendu aux urgences afin de savoir se qui se passe.

Suite à un scan, le pire est arrivé.

Les médecins ont découvert une hémorragie au cerveau. Donc pour soulager la pression, ils lui ont fait une trépanation ( trou dans le crâne ) pour permettre au sang d'évacuer.

De plus amples tests ont été effectués et au final une mal formation de naissance à été découverte. Elle à dû subir une opéreration d'urgence (une intervention qui à durée 4 heures 30) et plongé dans un coma artificiel, pour lui permettre de récupérer.

Cependant malgrés la seconde intervention, l'hémorragie à recommencer donc elle a dû subir une autre opération mais cette fois si pour retirer la boîte cranienne du côté droite pour permettre au cerveau de diminué l'enflure.

Malheureusement, elle devra rester sous sédation (dans le coma) quelques jours. Elle devra subir encore plusieurs interventions, afin de limiter les dégâts.

Pour l'instant les bébés vont bien mais tout peut basculer.

Son conjoint, Pierluc qui est travailleur autonome a dû se retirer du travail afin d'assister Danielle à l'Hôpital Civic d'Ottawa et de lui apporter tout le support dont elle aura besoin au cours des prochaines semaines.

Pour ce faire, il aura besoin de vos dons afin de palier à toutes les dépenses de la vie courantes étant donné qu'il n'a aucune ressource disponible, au travailleur autonome.

Today, we need your precious help for Danielle Depatie (30 years old), mother of Sarah-Lee (3 year old) 4 months pregnant with twins, partner of Pierluc, sister of Jessica, daughter of Marc and Sherry.

On Thursday, July 4th, Danielle's life turned upside down when she began to experience a massive headache and motor difficulties on her left side. She was then brought to the emergency room to find out what was going on. Following a scan, doctors discovered a hemorrhagic stroke on the right side of her brain.

To relieve the pressure, an

EVD (external ventricular drain) was installed to relived the pressure and to allow cervical fluid to drain from the ventricul in her brain.

Further tests were carried out and ultimately an AVM (arterialvenous malformation) was discovered. She then had to undergo a cerebral angiogram that revealed the location of the bleeding in the AVM, which is critical to planning treatment.

The cerebral angiogram revealed that the rupture was in a vein of the AVM. She then had to undergo an open brain emergency surgery, which lasted 4.5 hours, to remove the clot that had formed in her brain. She was then put into an artificial coma, to allow her to rest and recover.

24 hours later, she needed another emergency surgery because the brain swelled too much. They did a craniotomy, a procedure in which part of the bone from the skull is removed to allow the brain to swell without causing further damage.

At this point, she will have to remain sedated (in a coma) for a few days.

When she will recover from the trauma (which could take months) they will then create a treatement plan to remove the AVM (a process that can take up to 7 surgeries with months of recovery between each surgery)

For the moment the 17 week old twin babies are doing well but everything can change.

Her partner, Pierluc, who is self-employed, had to withdraw from work in order to assist Danielle at the Ottawa Civic Hospital and provide her with all the support she will need over the coming months.

In order to stay by her side, financial support would be greatly appreciated as he has no available resources, as a self-employed worker.
