Son, Brother, Uncle, our best, Don Parker was diagnosed with ALS in August of 2022 & this horrible disease has progressed rather quickly. Our Don is 60 years young, loves all things sports, is a master observer, quiet encourager, & has lived on his own in Phoenix for the better part of his adult life. He’s worked for Discover for 30+ years & has an incredible community of friends and colleagues in Phoenix.

As his disease has progressed we’ve talked more & more about what this season would look like & the time has come for him to move to North Texas to live with family! Don’s sister Diane, along with her daughter, Sara, and son in law, Cesar, are renovating their home to make his space wheelchair accessible. Among other things, we are reconstructing the doorways downstairs & completely gutting the master bathroom to make it an open wet room space. Our hope is to create a space that provides comfort and safety, & allows him to maintain his independence and dignity for the remainder of his life.

As you can imagine, renovation costs are high, simply because of the world we are living in. We would so appreciate your financial support as we navigate this new season. Your generosity will provide a safe, cozy space for Don to enjoy as he continues to live with ALS. We are so grateful for our community & truly don’t have the words to express our gratitude. Thank you for loving us and being part of our support system through this journey!
XOXO,
The Parker, Finney, Rivera Family
