Don Nadolsky is one of the most loving fathers, friend, uncle and brother. He has three children - Ross, Kiana and Kiera. He has a rare disease called inclusion body myositis . It’s a disease where his muscles deteriorate over time and leaves him with no muscle mass. He uses a cane and a scooter to ambulate and it’s been awful seeing his health decline. He recently had a heart attack and had a stint placed and has been on blood thinners since.

Don is an avid Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins fan. On Wednesday May 24th 2023 Donny and his three friends went to the Pittsburgh Pirates game and during the 7th inning stretch his friends helped him out of his scooter to stand to sing “Take me out to the Ball game” and he lost his footing and fell straight back on his head. He was knocked unconscious, stopped breathing and has remained unconscious and ventilated since. He had a sub dermal brain bleed, with a midline brain shift. Don had immediate surgery to stop the bleeding and fix the midline shift, with a craniotomy and his left side of his skull was removed and will remain off until the swelling is resolved, he also had with several small bleeds through out his brain. He remains at Allegheny General Hospital where he is still ventilated and has been having uncontrollable blood pressure and heart rate issues along with continuous seizures and we have no idea what is going to be happening. He has so much brain swelling and has not been responsive.We are asking for any kind of support for travel expenses and his kids to stay at the hospital, taking off work, meals and get back and forth. Donny would do anything for anyone. He takes care of everybody and tries to make the most of everyday with his disease, being captain of his pool team and having his friends at his place for pool tournaments and there’s never not a day that he talks to his kids and tells them he loves them. They are his pride and joy so please help us to help him and Ross, Kiana and Kiera.
