My name is Corinne and I have started this gofundme to help alleviate some of the financial stress our family will inevitably face very soon. My husband, Don Bair, has been with Walsh since July 23, 2019 and has put every bit of himself out there to help his teams succeed every single day. Since starting with Walsh, Don has worked a staggering 12,371 hours on the T100 Project, SR108 Project, and most recently the I-5/520 project. Don began as an operator, moved to becoming a Safety Manager, and finally moving on to become part of the emerging Superintendent Program where he managed night shift operations both on SR-108 and I-5/520 Projects. Don is a natural leader, motivating his crews to work hard by leading by example.
There was no issue or task he wouldn’t take on with zero complaint. Working 12+ hours shifts through big closures in the region, countless 7 day a week shifts, Don has become one of the top leaders in hours worked in the region.
With all this, Don still came home and made sure that his family is loved and well taken care of. I can’t even begin to touch on how caring and helpful he is to his friends. We got married in Scottsdale Arizona on New Year’s Eve and when we came home two days later Don was immediately admitted to the hospital and received the shocking news that he had been diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma Colon Cancer. Our world immediately flipped upside down and the train went off the tracks, in every sense of the word. Everything we had planned on/dreamed of was frozen in time. We were planning to break ground on our home we had been designing for the last few years this spring, which also has taken a backseat to him and his health. Any form of support is greatly appreciated, even if it’s just prayers and well wishes. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, The Bairs
