Alvaro De Los Santos joined the Curacao family in 2005, and had his beginnings in the Service Department at the Huntington Park store. Though his illness took place while in HP, he found a new home here at Corporate in the Customer Service Department. After a brief time, he was brought over to Collections, where he developed into a great collector since then. As a veteran collector, he earned the respect and admiration of his fellow associates and supervisors thanks to his guidance and understanding of the customers.
Alvarito always spoke highly of his children, Andy and Sebastian. He was compassionate and understanding of each one that it served as a lesson to us on how to love your kids. He understood the challenges they faced and through his own disability showed them that all things are possible.
For us who worked in the company over the years saw him as a father figure. Someone we could look up to and trust. He was someone who we could speak to frankly, and get an honest response in return. For those us who were privileged in delighting in the things he shared with us, we are grateful. It’s so sad to see that empty space as it symbolizes that sense of loss we all feel when someone close to you goes away.
Alvarito leaves behind his two sons Andy and Sebastian. Andy is disabled and Sebastian will assume the role as head of the household. Although Sebastian is bright and intelligent and very capable of taking care of their home, they will need support from us who knew and love Don Alvarito, during this trying period of mourning. Besides funeral expenses, there will be other expenses along the way that these two young men will now have to meet, such as rent, sustenance, therapy for Andy, and Sebastian’s continued education.
This Go Fund Me account is a link between us the community, and the De Los Santos brothers, Let’s all help give them a fair chance to mourn the loss of their father in peace, and move forward in their lives with their spirits lifted. We pray God bless and lift up these two brothers, and God Bless you all for your support and kindness. Thank you.
