Dom's Recovery: Fund His Healing Process

On Friday, February 28, 2025, Dom was training jiu-jitsu when he heard a terrible crunch while grappling. His whole body went numb, and he was rushed to urgent care. The trauma resulted in fractures to his C1-C6 cervical vertebrae, requiring extensive surgery at UCSF. This was devastating news as Dom is the sole provider for his 3 young children.

A team of top neurosurgeons performed a complex procedure, entering through the front of his neck to remove all fractured bone pieces. They carried out an extensive laminoplasty, a bone graft, and a cervical fusion from C4 to C7. The cost of this surgery alone was $300,000, and Dom now faces a long road to recovery with extensive rehabilitation and therapy over the next year.
