Domi Dufur is a 27 year old who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) in December of 2022. After undergoing months of chemotherapy, radiation and a bone marrow transplant at Stanford Hospital in March of 2023, she was in remission (cancer free) for a year. In early April 2024, Domi relapsed and has been readmitted at Stanford since Tuesday April 9th for more chemotherapy to battle her cancer. During her hospital stay, she has also been battling a serious fungal infection in her lungs, as well as a handful of other complications from the various medications and treatments she’s been receiving. Friday 4/26 was her last day of chemo, but she will unfortunately remain in the hospital until she is more stable to return home. Although this relapse has been devastating to Domi and her family, she is a warrior. She refuses to let her cancer win and is determined to get healthier and get back home.
On May 5th, Gabi will be running the OC Marathon in honor of Domi. Domi has been nothing short of amazing throughout this battle. She is proof that God is good and you can conquer more than you ever know.
Let’s rally for our Leukemia Warrior. WE ARE DOMI STRONG.
