Dominque’s Children Jonathan, Jennifer & Jessica

Donation protected
Dominique Smn was a wonderfully strong and joyful mother of 3 and friend to all she met. Unfortunately she passed away the night of December 5th after a short battle with breast cancer. She is leaving behind 3 beautiful children who are now without parents and having to make decisions no child should ever have to make.

Dominique’s impact on her children can be clearly seen by all who know them. Her children show great strength and refuse to back down from a challenge no matter how great it may seem, their accomplishments in life were so meaningful and I am sure that their beautiful mother is so very proud of them.

Her oldest child Jonathan is 21 years old and is a Senior at Georgia State University. He is a very hard worker and it shows, as earlier this year Jonathan received employee of the year at his job. Unfortunately Jonathan is now going to have to be providing for his 2 younger sisters who are also amazing young women.

Her middle child Jennifer turned 19 in September and is a Junior at Harvard. Her hard work and determination allowed Jennifer to receive a full-ride scholarship and I know her mother is so very proud of her. Jennifer had taken the year off of school so she could be there to help with her mother as she battled cancer. Jennifer is such an inspiration to all, that if you work hard enough, no dream is too big.

Her youngest child Jessica is 16 years old. Jessica works so hard in school and her smile can light up a room. After being through so much in such a short amount of time, you can truly see her mother’s fighting spirit through Jessica. Jessica was very close to her mother as Jennifer was often away in Boston at school and Jonathan was working a lot on top of being a student. This meant that it was just Jessica and Dominique for the majority of the time. Their bond is something so special and precious and I know Dominique is so proud of the young lady she is and will become.

These children have been through so much and now have to face the world without a mother or father to guide them. Losing someone you love is never an easy thing to do, but a loss so sudden and close to Christmas can really hit a family hard. This family is one of the strongest families I have had the pleasure of knowing, but I know expenses are going to be a huge deal for them. I cannot imagine the pressure Jonathan feels knowing he now has to provide for his sister’s and anything we can do to help ease that pressure will be a great weight off his shoulders.

This is why we are trying to raise money for these children. There are tough times ahead, they are having to make decisions no child should ever have to make and we want to make things as easy as possible for this family. Any donations are greatly appreciated not only by the family but by friends who care about them.

Thank you for your donations and have a very Merry Christmas.
