Domino came to me with Cancer and a broken soul. I was fostering some really difficult dogs and he came as part of that crew but he was different. He was a sweet gentle soul that after a lifetime of living in a cage outside in the desert didn't believe good things and soft spots were meant for him. While most dogs start running thru a new home, it took Domino many months to even walk around, so I created a little man cave by the front door that he could feel safe enough to start exploring. He was scared of everything, I couldn't even fold clothes around because that scared him too and I had to force him to let me hold him... but now he's a cuddlebug extraordinaire who can tolerate laundry when need be! Because he'd spent his life locked up anything that resembes freedom makes him happy so we go on as many hikes and adventures as possible and he loves it!! The change in is energy was massive when I first started letting him run free and it made me so happy to see him happy that I would lean down and give him a kiss on the top of his head, and now when we go on hikes he'll stop and wait for his kiss. Sometimes I'm in a rush and I don't want to stop but he won't go further til he gets it as if those kisses are his fuel, and he dances off with pride and joy after getting it. I melt every time !! Domino is still super weird and scared of most people and things but he's such a sweet and gentle soul with a real lust for life! His Cancer is back but he's got a whole lot more living to do!!

The Doctor that performed his first surgery gave him only 6 months to live after that first procedure but here we are 5 years later and almost procedures and yet he's better than ever! I had originally agreed to keep him because the rescue promised to pay for all Cancer treatment. That promise wasn't kept laying the burden of all his bills solely on my shoulders and it's been a struggle for me to keep up with his needs.

If you know me, you know I don't like asking for help, but Domino needs to have a surgery immediately in order to remove a massive tumor and close an open wound and this time we need some help from our friends in order to make that happen.
