Hi everyone, my name is Dominique.

On June 12, 2025, I was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer, an aggressive form of breast cancer that grows and spreads faster than most others because of a protein called HER2. This diagnosis came as a complete shock, to me and everything moved very quickly after that. Within weeks, I had to undergo a series of tests, scans, and biopsies to prepare for treatment. By the time everything was confirmed, I only had about a month before starting chemotherapy.

Since beginning treatment, I’ve been doing my best to keep life as normal as possible including continuing to work full-time. It hasn’t been easy balancing the side effects and the physical toll with the demands of everyday life, but I’ve been pushing through because bills and responsibilities don’t stop, even when your world does!

My journey is far from over as I have 10 more months of treatment ahead, and I’m doing my best to stay strong, positive, and focused on healing. Any donation or support, no matter how small, would mean the world to me and help ease some of the financial pressure during this time.
