Dominique Hammons Stolen Violin and Equipment

Hi everyone,

Last night my car was broken into while eating dinner at a restaurant on Westheimer. They have broke the lock off my car and stole my violin, speakers, mixer, microphones etc.. Unfortunately, I didn’t have insurance on most of the items, including my violin. That was a huge lesson learned. I was able to file a police report, but without serial numbers, there is only so much they can do. This is such a tough situation for me because I am a full time musician, and these are the things I use on a everyday basis. I’ve worked so hard to be able to purchase all of the items that were stolen from me. The most valuable thing in my life is my violin. It feels like someone took a piece of me away. I am not the one to ask for anything. I love to give and that’s why I do music; I love to give back and share my love for music all over the world. God has truly blessed me with the gift of music and I know that he has my back in this tragic situation. He has brought me this far, so I know this is just a minor setback. The devil was really working hard last night, but I won’t let him stop me. I’m very blessed that my life was not taken. I can’t be upset with the thieves... maybe they needed the money more than I did. Maybe they needed money to support their family. Who knows. Even though I don’t agree with how they went about things, I can’t be upset because God is in control. All things can be replaced, but because of all the things I’ve lost in such a short time span, I have no choice but to open a go fund me. Again, I absolutely hate to ask for help; I’m am stepping out of my comfort zone, but due to the fact that I have so many upcoming shows and events, and so little time to save money to recover, I have no choice but to ask for a little help. Every penny helps. I want to be a blessing to others. I feel like that is my purpose. God has gifted me with the ability to play the violin. I promise to use my gift to spread love all over the world. I want to make a impact on this world. I know there’s going to be even more setbacks, but I realize that’s apart of life and the only thing you could do is learn from it. This was a learning lesson for me. I give God all the Glory.
