Hello! My name is Lauren, I am Dominic’s mom. A year ago today, we found a lump on Dominic’s right leg. We thought it was just scar tissue from his surgery a year beforehand. Dominic went through six months of tests and checks. We finally did a biopsy and discovered he had a Desmoid tumor on his right leg.

Dominic went through Cryogentics in April for his tumor. They were able to dissolve one of the tumors but discovered a second tumor wrapped around his Achilles tendons. Because of the location of this tumor surgery will never be an option for Dominic as he will never walk again. Desmoid Tumors are fast growing tumors that are very aggressive where they form.

Dominic is now in the middle of chemo treatment. The first set of chemo pills he tried in May, he had a severe reaction and was admitted to the hospital. He is now trying a new Chemo pill which just makes him super tired easily and not very hungry. Dominic is one of four children( Aaron Oesterling, Christopher Miller and Elena Miller) Anyone that knows Dominic knows he is a super active kid who love the outdoors and Sports!

Currently Byron is still working but I am off work for FMLA. I am not receiving any pay at this time. We have to be a 2 income family with the cost of Dominic’s pills and other medical needs. But it is NOT an option as Dominic needs around the clock adult supervision. With the many visits to the hospital and trying to find things Dominic is in the mood to eat, we need your help.
