Dominican Restoration Day 2021

On August 16th, 2020 at Von Nieda Park, Movimiento Tricolor hosted its first event  “Dominican Restoration Day.” At this event, there were over 300 attendees and more than 40 volunteers were millennials-Gen-Zs. Community members proudly waved their flags to show their desire to continue celebrating their culture. With food, giveaways, performances from local artists, Dominican Restoration Day symbolized the great yearning Dominicans have felt for so long to embrace their heritage and to continue doing so in their very own city.


In August 2021, Movimiento Tricolor hopes to host the Second Annual Dominican Restoration Day at Von Nieda Park through generous donations and sponsorships from community members and government agencies. This year we are calling on the community to assist us in collecting the funds and resources to make this a reality again. 

Movimiento Tricolor is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed for charitable and educational purposes with the specific goal of engaging the Dominican community through charitable, educational, and advocacy activities to increase their social and economic resources and opportunities. Movimiento Tricolor recognizes the great importance and contributions of the Dominican community in the city of Camden and thus has committed to elevating the hard work and culture through assisting local business owners, hosting community events, and educating the community about the Dominican culture.

El 16 de agosto de 2020 en el Parque Von Nieda, Movimiento Tricolor organizó su primer evento “Día de la Restauración Dominicana”. En este evento, hubo más de 300 asistentes y más de 40 voluntarios eran millennials-Gen-Zs. Los miembros de la comunidad ondearon con orgullo sus banderas para mostrar su deseo de seguir celebrando su cultura. Con comida, obsequios, actuaciones de artistas locales, el Día de la Restauración Dominicana simbolizó el gran anhelo que los dominicanos han sentido durante tanto tiempo por abrazar su herencia y seguir haciéndolo en su propia ciudad.


En agosto de 2021, Movimiento Tricolor espera organizar el Segundo Día Anual de Restauración Dominicana en el Parque Von Nieda a través de generosas donaciones y patrocinios de miembros de la comunidad y agencias gubernamentales. Este año hacemos un llamado a la comunidad para que nos ayude a recolectar los fondos y recursos para hacer esto una realidad nuevamente.

Movimiento Tricolor es una organización sin fines de lucro 501 (c) (3) formada con fines benéficos y educativos con el objetivo específico de involucrar a la comunidad dominicana a través de actividades caritativas, educativas y de defensa para aumentar sus recursos y oportunidades sociales y económicos. Movimiento Tricolor reconoce la gran importancia y las contribuciones de la comunidad dominicana en la ciudad de Camden y, por lo tanto, se ha comprometido a elevar el trabajo arduo y la cultura a través de la asistencia a los propietarios de negocios locales, la organización de eventos comunitarios y la educación de la comunidad sobre la cultura dominicana.
