With heavy hearts, we share the loss of our beloved Dominic, who left this world far too soon at just 19 years old.
Dominic had a kind and gentle soul. He cared deeply about the people in his life, had an incredible sense of style, and brought light and laughter wherever he went. He loved his friends and family fiercely, and he will always be remembered for his warmth, compassion, and unique spirit.
This past weekend, our family experienced a heartbreaking loss that no one is ever prepared for. As we try to navigate this difficult time, our focus is on being together, supporting one another, and honouring Dominic’s memory.
I would like to share a message from our Lita (Grandmother) …
“Dominic received the Lord in his heart at an early age. He was baptized and filled with faith. He leaves behind many memories of his kindness toward others. He prayed for people, spoke to youth, and touched many lives. His friends (and all of us) hold beautiful memories of him.
As believers in our Lord Jesus, He knows everything about Dominic — even more than we do. Our family continues to live with faith and hope. We thank the Lord for the wonderful gift He gave us in Dominic, and we will treasure him in our hearts always. We trust that he is now in His presence.”
My Uncle Phil, Auntie Annette, and their other sons, Gabriel and Silas are facing this unimaginable loss. My Uncle Phil owns his own business and does not have paid leave or insurance that allows him to take time off. My hope is as a community we are able to alleviate some of the finical burden they’ll be facing in the coming months. During this time of grief, none of them should have to worry about returning to work immediately or how bills will be paid. They deserve the time and space to grieve, heal, and be surrounded by loved ones.
