Jennifer Beltran-Galassi - 6/11/2003 – 8/5/2023

Local Mom Had No-Contact Order Against Father of Her Child. Now He's Accused of Murdering Her.
Jennifer was taken from us in a senseless act, that we will never comprehend.
Jennifer was a charismatic woman that loved life. Her dedication to her three-year-old daughter and family was unwavering. With her infectious laugh, she could draw anyone into some lighthearted antics. “She is like Lilo & Stitch rolled into one” – It is no surprise that she loved those two and other animations. A creative spirit, she would sketch the characters she loved and even create some her own. She was a dedicated teammate that cherished learning and taking on challenges.
Jennifer you will forever be loved and missed. We hope you know what joy you brought into the world. The world has lost its luster with your passing. Your love will forever be with us.

Local Mom Had No-Contact Order Against Father of Her Child. Now He's Accused of Murdering Her.
20 year old Jennifer, a single mom, came to work for us one year ago. As a single mom, she worked hard and was a great mother. She was an A+ employee and person. On August 5, 2023, Jennifer was shot in her car. She was a victim of domestic violence that had been ongoing. The suspect was previously convicted of domestic battery - against the victim - of the first degree, endangerment of a child. He received probation and was set free. Jennifer had a restraining order for the suspect, which he violated, and was put in jail - but released. Jennifer was found in her vehicle with gunshot wound to the head and the subject from the previous arrests/violations/convictions has now been arrested for murder.
DV perpetrators always escalate their actions. It never gets “better.” It may happen in waves and over periods of time. But it always ends up bad for the victim. The only “happy ending” is when the victim is able to get as far away geographically from the perpetrator. For Jennifer, it was too late.
Breaking the cycle is very difficult. Jennifer was the child of a teenage mother. She was also a teenage mother, but she was trying to break the cycle. We failed her. The system failed her. All I can hope for is that somebody, anybody can save the next Jennifer. She is out there and needs our help. If you or anyone you know needs assistance please call the domestic violence hotline. 24/7
800-799-7233.
Please find it in your heart to support Jennifer's young child and her family. All proceeds will be put into a trust for her child, as well as to assist with burial services.
