Hi. My name is AJ and I recently became homeless since leaving my spouse from domestic violence and it saved my life.
I recently was released from the hospital from overdosing to unalive myself. I’ve struggled to pay previous rent and had to put my belongings in storage and live in a hotel/car.
My ex obliterated my credit and now to move into a new home, I need help with coming up with a deposit, first months rent.
I’ve exhausted all resources that various agencies have referred me to and there are no immediate solutions for me aside from working 12 hours a day as a gig worker so I can pay for another night in a hotel and gas for the car.
If I weren’t as resilient, I know I would just give up as many other people do. Once I reach my fund raising goal I have plans to prevent it from ever happening again and will help others in similar situations.
I have started an e-commerce website to generate income to help me become more stable but due to my current living situation, I have not been able to work on anything related to it right now.
