October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 25% of women and over 40% of women of color will be abused at some point in their lives. Our loving friend is one of them, and she needs help regaining custody of her daughter from her abusive ex-husband, who vowed to deny her custody and succeeded. She needs financial support for mounting legal fees to continue her appeal to regain custody and begin to repair what they have endured during the separation.
