She will not be able to maintain full time work during her treatment, and likely not be able to work at all during different times throughout her treatment.

Unlike other forms of breast cancer, triple negative breast cancer lacks three common receptors that are usually targeted in cancer treatment. This makes it particularly aggressive and challenging to treat.

Dominique is facing a daunting journey. She’s not just fighting a disease; she’s battling against fear, uncertainty, and mounting medical bills. This fundraiser aims to alleviate some of the financial burdens she’s facing, allowing her to focus on her treatment and recovery without the added stress of financial strain. During Phase One of her treatment, Dominique will need to travel over an hour away two to three times a week for chemotherapy and immunotherapy over the next 12 weeks. Phase Two will encompass another three months of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Subsequently, she will undergo a mastectomy. As you can see, she does indeed have a long road ahead.
