Dom Hegman’s Snocross Accident

As many of friends and family know, on Saturday, March 26th, Dom was involved in an unfortunate snocross racing accident resulting in some serious injuries:
Compression fracture of L2 and L3 Ligamentous injury vs hemorrhage at L2-L3 L
TP fractures of L1-L3
SP fracture of L2
Central disc bulge
L5S1 Small right pneumothorax
Bilateral lung contusions
Abrasions & lacerations of left shoulder
Bilateral abrasions to both shins
Abrasions on left buttock
Laceration to left forearm
After spending 4 days in the hospital, Dom went home with a brace that he has to wear 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 3 months. So far Dom has avoided surgery, however goes back for a second opinion in a few weeks. He will start Physical Therapy after healing and the brace is removed.
Dom is eager and looking forward to riding his dirt bike and back in to racing as soon as he is able!
Funds received will go towards Dom’s medical expenses and replacing his protective gear.
