My mother, Karen Harris

I have set up this GoFundMe as a way to honor my late mother Karen Harris. On Friday, September 8, 2023, she peacefully passed after a 2 day struggle in the hospital.

My mother was diagnosed with Left Ventricle Heart Failure, as well as severe emphysema.

On September 5th, my mother was hospitalized and intubated, but that didn’t stop her spunky fighting spirit. After being sedated for a day, she woke up, responded to queues and acknowledged she was surrounded by her loved ones.

Due to the severity of her illness and it being unknown, and untreated for such a long time, she was placed on life support which ended September 8th.

She is survived by her husband, children and grand children, whom have been with her every step of the way.

Everyone who has had the pleasure of knowing her knew how funny, welcoming, and warm she was. Please keep that in the forefront of your heart and mind when thinking about her.

As this was so sudden, our family is asking for help in assisting with her final rest. Anything will help, and any assistance during this time is appreciated.
