Hello everyone
as you all know I am trying to raise funds for Dolly’s veterinary bill. Something I never imagined ever having to do.
our beautiful Dolly passed away after having spent only a few days with us. We had so many hopes and dreams for her it has truly broken our hearts.
Dolly arrived such a happy hound. She instantly made us laugh whilst scaring the dogs half to death with her howling. She spent her first day running round the garden , counter surfing , howling and generally letting everyone know she was here!
by the following morning we noticed a change in her. A change that was different to the usual stress of the journey. We monitored her closely and mostly she still involved herself with the other dogs but was wanting more and more cuddles and taking to her bed more. Day 3 we decided we needed to see a vet.
After bloods , and a ultrasound, the decision was made to take a look inside. To our disbelief and horror Dolly had a terrible infection, and further complications. Dolly’s organs had fused together meaning there was absolutely nothing that could be done to save her. This is usually caused by scar tissue from a previous operation. Nobody could have ever known what was happening to Dolly, from the moment she started her journey, to arriving with us. It has totally devastated us, and we now need your help.
Most of you know all at Felix are volunteers. We don’t get paid to help our dogs. We don’t get funding. Any funds we have are raised through generous donations / sponsored Events etc. Those funds help pay to get the dogs to safety and over to the UK. Felix is a non profit organisation.
Once the Dogs arrive with us we home and feed them , buy their collars , leads etc etc and most of us pay for any routine vets bills they made need.
Dollys vets bill is going to be a big one and I am asking for any help possible. All donations will go straight towards paying for the costs. If you can help with even the smallest of donations I will be eternally grateful.
thankyou for reading
Julie & John
