Dollars for Dan

After Dan's first brain surgery, he only drank freshly pressed juices for 30 days. 

Last June, 2016, Dan, 51 years old, married, and father of two children, received the shocking news that he had a brain tumor and stage 4 lung cancer.   We are so thankful for the skilled neurosurgeon at Hartford Hospital who removed the brain tumor.  Then we discovered  that traditional treatment (chemo and radiation) held little promise for him - that 50% of people with this diagnosis are dead within 8 months with or without treatment.  Dan decided he wanted better odds and a better quality of life rather than to suffer through chemotherapy and radiation with almost no hope of a cure.  He decided to try alternative treatments.  With lots of research and support from a wellness counselor, Dan recovered from the surgery and returned to work full time after 8 weeks.  He felt strong and healthy for the next 10 months while following a complex routine of pure nutrition and detoxification. 

We were devastated to find out this March that the brain tumor had returned. He has had to have a second brain surgery.  We had just found a naturopathic oncologist who is able to offer Dan additional treatments and therapies he did not have before.  These treatments offer him the best quality of life and a strong potential for a complete cure from his cancer.  
Unfortunately, insurance will not cover any of these treatments that are costing us $2000 a month.  We have drained our resources and are struggling to continue his treatments.   The more and the sooner he can have these treatments, the greater is the chance for him to have a complete recovery.  He has already been beating the odds.
