**This page was made on behalf of Kelly, mom to Duncan, and Jackie who share in his everyday antics, his wider than life smile, and that little Corgi butt that never stops wiggling.**

Thank you for stopping by to read about the love of my life, Duncan.  It means more than you will know and any donation is incredibly appreciated big or small!!

Duncan was spending the day with his furry friends at daycare.  After he got home it didn't take long to notice that Duncan was acting a little different, but it would take the next several hours for him to lose mobility in his legs.  He was taken to the emergency room and we were told he would need surgery within the next 24 hours if he were going to have any chance of walking again.

He was diagnosed with a ruptured disc and a lot of swelling with blood compressing his spinal cord.  Surgery was done and more blood and fluid was pulled out than expected.  He may not regain full function of his legs, but we are hoping for the best possible outcome.  We will know more when he wakes up and he is going to spend at least a week in the hospital and 6 weeks in recovery when he gets home.  We are beyond devastated and can only imagine how scared and upset our baby Duncan is.

The dog in the movie "Don't Tell Mom the Babysitters Dead" was when I first saw a corgi and I grew up obsessing over them.  I had been considering getting a dog after going through a really rough experience in my life and  stumbled upon a litter of corgis that had just been born, but I could not afford to buy and of course I had to show my mom a picture of the runt of the litter named Timmy.  A week later, she asked me to help put up the Christmas tree and the last thing I expected to see was my little runt sitting in a box under the tree waiting for me.  Falling to my knees and crying, I couldn't wait to take him home with me and when I did, he chewed up a Dunkin Donuts coffee cup in my car, and that's where his name came from with a little twist of class in the spelling for my classy guy.

Duncan has been by my side since he was 10 weeks old.  He has been there for me through a lot of ups and downs and is forever my sidekick.  He is known to pretend to be a lapdog, barking for love, and chasing anything that squeaks.  Among the million things I love about him, the best is that no matter who you are, he will love you and you can guarantee him licking your face until you start petting him again.

Traveling, running around the dog park, and playing fetch are just a few things he loves to do.  He loves his sister cat, Torre, and makes friends with any dog he meets.  He lights up every room and he knows it, so we are really feeling how dim life is right about now.

It means so much that you took the time to read about Duncan.  Beyond donations, we need your prayers and positive thoughts, and anything will help.  This money is going to Duncan's surgery, imaging like his MRI, which was $4000 alone, his hospital stay, and his recovery (including rice cakes that he loves to snack on and WILL lick your face to get, too).  Please help us in Duncan's recovery so that he can get that Corgi butt up and wiggling again!! Thank you SO much!!!
