Dollars for Donna is for Donna L. Baker Donna is a sixteen year Leukemia survivor and a fighter! From her intensive treatments years ago, most of her major organs have been damaged, namely her kidneys. There are other side effects and small problems that she is encountering on a daily basis, but the possibility of a kidney transplant is looming large. Most people can live with one kidney, but if the Leukemia were to come back, her system is not strong enough to fight it like before. The major fear for her right now is the financial aspect associated with a possible kidney transplant as well as everything involved. Prayers and God saved her for us sixteen years ago to let her see three grandchildren that God had a plan for. With the health insurance situation the way it is in this country, The last thing on her mind should be how to pay co-pays, daily expenses and anything involved with this endeavor! That would be one major burden lifted off of her. Anybody that knows Donna or has been blessed to have been associated with her both Professionally and personally, knows she is one of the most honest, kindest, and sincere people God has blessed us with! In the event a match doesn't occur, or for some reason the transplant does not take place, Donna has three Charities that are close to her heart as well as millions of others across this country, that she has stated she wants to leave her legacy with. Other then Rodney's cooking, please help take the largest burden off her shoulders so she can concentrate on being "Donna"! Donna is stubborn, and didn't want to do this, but when she cried herself to sleep last night, she said "maybe there is a miracle" that will happen! That is when I set this up!
