We are raising money for the Prescott family.
Beckham is 8 years old and has Pelizaeus-Merzbacher disease (PMD).
PMD is a rare X-linked genetic disorder affecting the central nervous system that is associated with abnormalities of the white matter of the brain and spinal cord. It is one of the leukodystrophies in which disease is due to abnormal development of one or more components (predominantly fats or proteins) that make up the white matter (myelin sheath) of the brain. The myelin sheath is the protective covering of the nerve and nerves cannot function normally without it.
In PMD, many areas of the central nervous system may be affected, including the deep portions of the cerebrum (subcortical), cerebellum, brain stem and spinal cord.
Beckham has had countless surgeries and intensive therapy to get where he is now. Natalie is a single mom of three boys and pours into them every single day. She's a rockstar and the most selfless mother I've ever seen. She has moved states multiple times to ensure that Beckham is getting the best treatment and always remains positive for her family.
I've seen Monat bless so many of us in ways we never imagined and since gratitude is the heart beat of our company, I thought this would be an incredible way to give back and bless others.
Our goal is to support the Prescott's for Christmas and continue to bless them through this. The idea behind the Dollar Revolution is to show how powerful we can be when we all join together. The impact that can happen in someone's life if everyone came together and donated just $1. This is all we are asking for but donate whatever is on your heart!
Our goal is to cover all 3 boys Christmas gifts and raise enough to pay for Beckham's therapy and a portion of hospital bills.
***As much as we know the power in sharing these publicly, please respect our wishes to keep it a surprise for Natalie as there is a reason for that! We ask that you send it to your friends, other Monat teams, etc. in a private way and connect with them directly.
If you are unable to donate, we are asking for your prayers as the Prescott's navigate this season of new intensive therapy and other life changes. We also ask for prayers over this cause and that God will grow this in ways only He can.
