Dolan Cyr who's life was cut too short
Donation protected

Hi my name is Melissa Evans and I always and never thought I would have to write this. My brother Dolan Cyr passed away unexpectedly last night, April 24th and leaves a tremendous hole in our hearts. My brother suffered from mental illness all his life but recently asked for help for the first time and was diagnosed with bipolar and schizophrenia and he had a heartbreaking struggle with his darkness throughout his life.
His struggle does not define him as he was so much more than that. He was a man with the kindest heart, would do anything for the ones he loved, was funny and goofy, was a favorite uncle, was the BEST brother and son, was deep thinking (albeit a bit paranoid at times as anyone who knew him well would attest), and I was so very proud of him and the person that he was and was trying to be. We will miss him with every breath until we see him again.
Dolan leaves behind a beautiful 3 year old daughter Marleni, three siblings Nathan, Kayleen, Melissa and a mother Sherrie that will miss every day along with extended family.
Loosing Dolan in the fashion that we did leaves not only a profound loss in our hearts but he did not have any life insurance or assets to his name so I am hoping to raise some funds to help with his end of life expenses. We will plan a celebration of life for Dolan over the next few months and will keep everyone updated of those plans. This is something Dolan would have liked and approved of (sorry Dolan, you're not getting a viking send off that I think you would have preferred).
For those that did or didn't know my brother, he was someone who was always searching for love and happiness and could never quite find it. It's truly heartbreaking to know that his life was cut short before he could really find that for himself after a lifetime of fighting his internal demons. I hope he can finally find the peace he so desperately searched for.
I will always miss his warm smile and big hugs and I see him in my young son daily and am so thankful that I will see those little reminders in him growing up. Til we meet again someday Dolan...
I ask for respect and space for myself and my family while we process this unexpected and tremendous loss for our family.
