"Dojang" Martial Arts Action Short Film

Hello there!

My name is Jon Paul and I am a 4th degree martial arts black belt in Judo and an actor based in Miami. I wrote a martial arts action short film script called "Dojang". Here is a brief description of my short film.

The Story:
This short film is revolved around the relationship between the protagonist "Shane Lucas" and the antagonist "Hans Giesler" in a combative fight scene taking place at the main characters dojo. The film's theme is tied in with the philosophy and training of the art of Judo and Japanese Jujutsu. It goes in depth on the way of Bushido training and is a short film introduction to the backstory between Shane Lucas and Hans Giesler. Shane was recruited by a Grand Master named Yamato Yoshida and was used to be involved with a secret society within the Yakuza clan in Japan where he competed in many Judo world class tournaments and has won many world title tournaments. Eventually Shane left that life and went back into his home town where his father, who trained him all of his life, left his dojo. Hans Giesler was and is still is a member of the syndicate and was sent by Grand Master Yoshida to find him again and settle unfinished business. The story goes through the struggle Shane goes through by confronting his fears from the past, challenging his rival Hans and the syndicate, and finding himself as a spiritual being through living a true way of life how the founder of Judo proposed everyone to live through the two principles of Maximum Efficiency and Minimum Strength and Mutual Welfare. 

Who will Benefit:
The people that will benefit are the actors, the production team, and most importantly, the audience viewing the film. 

What the Funds Will Be Used For:
-For the production team to bring in the best equipment necessary in making this film as high quality and professional as possible such as proper lighting, make up artists, music composed for the film, and much more. 
-For travel, food, and room and board for the production team and the actors.
-To help promote the end product to pitch deck to major independent studios for a feature film script of this short film concept.
-To help promote distribution of this short film to major film festivals such as Cannes, Tribeca, and Sundance Film Festivals.
-The funds can help as well to push this short film onto major film/tv platforms such as Hulu, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Netflix, and as well as local theatres and AMC theatres. 

How Soon Do We Need the Funds?
-Ideally we would need to raise the funds by no later than early August so we can start shooting the production.

-Any support given to this project would mean being able to carry out a unique, engaging new martial arts film the general audience has yet to experience.

-The support you can give to the story making of this film would mean a story that can be brought to life for the whole world to witness and see the message behind it. Your support means I am able to carry out what feels true within my spirit to fulfill my purpose as a screenwriter and actor in promoting great storytelling and offering something unique the audience can relate to with their lives and to send an impactful message to the world on using the martial arts of Judo and it's bushido way of living and thinking to make the world a better place.
