We hope to educate family, friends and medical professionals within the United Kingdom to this widely unknown and misdiagnosed condition by means of sharing up to date medical research and resources. PoTS UK desires to offer hope that life can be enjoyed while living with this health condition
in 2019 I was diagnosed with pots through tilt table test unfortunately due to covid I didn’t receive the help I needed because of the pandemic and then I was forgotten about lost in the system my pots got worse I started having seizures frequently and becoming more and more bed bound last year in October my nan fought to get me an appointment with cardiologist dr petzer at darenth valley and they prescribed midodrine which was helping for a while but then seizures came back the tiredness was unbearable and I tried to do gym but just ended up getting more and more tired ended up having fractured wrist from trying to do workouts and falling over or losing my balance and eye sight for seconds, in June this year I started to realise my legs where going more and more one minute I would be okay next I would be on the floor feeling tired all the time which I know with syncope you can get but just felt never ended and now I used walking stick to help me walk and it makes life a bit easier going out and about I always have to have someone with me at all times and I don’t have any independence because showering or bathing brushing my teeth even making cuppa I can’t seem to do without being on floor
so I’m doing this challenge to help other people like me and for those of us who have all the symptoms but drs just ignore and say it’s anxiety or drink more water, we deserve to be heard and listened to thank you x
