Doing the right thing got me fired

Hello, I am a loving husband and father of a 5 month old girl and a 3 year old boy. I’ve been working as the manager of a restaurant for 18 years. I was just fired from this job because I stood up to the owner about a situation where one of my female coworkers was being bullied and harassed. It was important to me to stand up for my female staff who had voiced complaints, but the owner became agitated and refused to hear them out. This is not the first time.

My loyalty to this restaurant has been unparalleled. I’ve missed almost every major holiday for the past 18 years. I’ve missed family gatherings and birthdays. I’ve never even called in sick. My hope is to make back some of the money that I should have earned had I not been wrongfully terminated. I don’t know if I can even afford to support us. Please help in anyway possible, and never be afraid to stand up for something you know is right. Never back down from a bully.
