We are deeply saddened to share that Altaf Hasain passed away on July 15, 2025. We are continuing this fundraiser in his honor to support his wife and family during this incredibly difficult time.

We’re reaching out on behalf of someone who means a great deal to our team at Hyperbaric Medical Solutions: Altaf Hasain.
Al has been a dedicated hyperbaric technician at our NYC location for years, and his presence has made a profound and lasting impact on all of us. The warmth, strength, and compassion he brings to every interaction have helped shape our office into the supportive and special place it is today. So when we learned about the serious medical challenges he is now facing, we knew we had to show up for him the way he has always shown up for us.
Al has consistently embodied everything we strive to be, not only as healthcare professionals but as people. He is not just a colleague; he is a true professional who brings steadiness and quiet leadership to everything he does. As a hyperbaric technician, he has helped countless patients through vulnerable moments, always showing up with empathy, reliability, and care. His integrity and work ethic have left an indelible mark on our team.
Al is one of the most genuine, humble, and selfless people you will ever meet. When he first began experiencing health issues and made the difficult decision to step away from work, his first concern was how his absence might affect the rest of the team. That moment said everything about his character. He has always put others first: his coworkers, patients, friends, wife, family, and anyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
But now he is the one in need, and it is our turn to be there for him...
A few months ago, Al began experiencing a range of symptoms that gradually worsened and ultimately required him to leave work and focus fully on his health. He has since been diagnosed with a diffuse midline glioma, a rare and aggressive brain cancer that changed his life in an instant, required urgent surgery, and now calls for radiation and continued treatment. While the road ahead remains uncertain, one thing is clear: Al, his wife, and all his loved ones are navigating an unimaginably difficult time.
In response, we have created this fundraiser to help with medical costs, daily expenses, and the many challenges that come with serious illness. Please consider donating and sharing this page. Every contribution and message of encouragement is a reminder to Al and his family that they are not alone.
For years, Al has given his heart, strength, and care without hesitation. Now he needs us to do the same for him. We may never be able to repay all that he has done for each of us, but we finally have the chance to try. Let us give it our very best. It is what he needs right now, and more importantly, it is what he truly deserves.
