I’ve been visiting the beautiful island of Antigua for the past 8 years. There is so much to love about this special place, the beautiful people, stunning beaches and pace of life. But sadly, there is a huge problem with the island’s stray dog population and it is forever heartbreaking to see them starving to death, injured by cars, begging for help and in the worst cases abused and poisoned.

I spend as much time as possible volunteering at DOGS & CATS OF ANTIGUA sanctuary where a dedicated team work tirelessly to look after the 120 rescued dogs, pups and cats that live there. Without the sanctuary, abandoned and abused street dogs rarely have the chance to find a safe and happy life. Unfortunately the sanctuary is currently at maximum capacity and with PAAWS, the island’s second shelter, recently closing its doors, the pressure is on to take in more and more destitute animals.

This is where I urgently need your help! We have an opportunity to airlift 20 dogs from the sanctuary to associate rescue charities in Miami at the end of October. This is possibly the ONLY chance these dogs will have to find foster homes and ultimately their forever homes. It is also an amazing opportunity to free up spaces at the sanctuary for the desperate street dogs waiting for our help.

Please help me raise £10,000 to cover the cost of transportation so that we can give these beautiful, deserving dogs a chance to find a home and a good life. ANY amount will be hugely generous and appreciated beyond words..
