I didn’t plan to start a fundraiser.

But after what I saw in Cape Verde, I couldn’t just walk away.

In October, I found OSPA a small place run by people from Cape Verde and England who take in the dogs nobody else wants. Street dogs. Dogs hit by cars. Dogs missing a leg, an eye, or both. Dogs that would not survive another day on the streets.

What shocked me most?

There is no government support. None.

Everything you see the food, the medical care, the surgeries comes straight out of their own pockets...

These people save lives every single day. Quietly. Consistently. Even when it’s exhausting.

Now it’s on us.
