Dogmata Unleashed: Art for Paws

Donation protected
We are Dogmata Unleashed, a group of Denver area artists joining our talents to raise funds in support of local dog rescues. This is our fourth time hosting a Dogmata event and we hope you'll support us.

We're creating dog portraits for sale and are partnering with area pet supply vendors and animal care specialists for this fundraiser. Proceeds from this GoFundMe, as well as money earned from the sale of Dogmata art, will go to local dog rescues Ho-Bo Care Boxer Rescue and Red Fern Animal Rescue.

Dogmata: Unleashed will culminate in an event at Prismajic on September 28, 2025, from noon to 4pm. We've got great entertainment planned, so stay tuned.

Dogmata Self-Portrait by Jennifer Mosquera

Dogmata Artists At Large

Mario Acevedo has been creating art since he could hold a pencil, with oil and watercolor as his go-to mediums. Dogs have always played a meaningful role in his life—from his childhood sidekick Fito to his loyal companion Scout, a shiba inu who shared fourteen unforgettable years of adventures. A founding member of Dogmata, Mario channels his love for dogs and art into every piece he contributes—while enjoying the company of a wonderfully weird and creative community.

AJ Duncan has been drawing since the age of three and has spent over 30 years exploring creativity through digital painting and chalk pastels. Her work radiates warmth, imagination, and heart. In December 2024, AJ adopted her “soul dog,” Freya, and discovered a new depth of companionship and inspiration. Through Dogmata, she hopes to help other dogs find their own safe, happy homes—and the humans they were meant to love.

Eric Matelski’s art journey began in childhood but truly flourished in 1999 when he began painting live at concerts. With a love for acrylics and chalk pastels, his work is full of energy, emotion, and life. As a devoted animal lover, Eric sees Dogmata as a way to give back to the animals who bring us so much unconditional love. Through his art, he hopes to help rescue pups find the care and homes they deserve.

Tadd Moskal
With a creative career spanning 40 years, Tadd Moskal brings a whimsical touch to his drawings, acrylic paintings, and bronze sculptures. His work invites viewers to set aside worries and delight in the humor and innocence that animals bring to our lives. A founding member of Dogmata Denver, Tadd helped start the collective to support animals in need and to connect with fellow animal-loving artists who share his vision of compassion through creativity.

Jennifer Mosquera’s creative journey has spanned over 20 years, taking her from product design and interior spaces to fine art, craftsmanship, and large-scale immersive events. Her work is a fusion of mystical realms, deep self-reflection, and a lifelong passion for philosophy, growth, and healing. As she has walked her path she has had a pug named Gideon, a brussels named Bartleby and a sweet american shih tzu named Lily Pad by her side. As a founding member of Dogmata, Jennifer has been part of the pack from the very beginning—and happily admits she’s always the one who likes holding the leash.

Rebecca J Rowley has been dabbling in art since the 1980s, but it wasn’t until the 2020 quarantine that she embraced painting with heart and intention. Working primarily in acrylic, Rebecca creates vibrant, sometimes humorous, pieces that reflect her love of dogs. Her beloved shiba inu, Scout (2010-2025), remains a central muse and his legacy lives on through portraits and a limited-edition tarot deck. She is honored to share her work with Dogmata and to help support rescue dogs still waiting for their forever homes.

Russ Wright
Celebrating 50 years of painting, Russ Wright grew up in a home filled with creativity, music, and artistic expression. Once he picked up an airbrush, he never looked back. Russ brings nostalgic charm to life with vibrant colors and a timeless sense of joy. A lifelong dog lover—from his childhood pup, Boots, to his beloved Zoe—Russ joins Dogmata to honor the unique and entertaining spirits of dogs and to help more of them find love and homes.
