Doggo needs help with medical bills

Hi. My name is Doggo and my life has been a rollercoaster.

Things started well when I was a puppy living with a family with young children, but then, in my fifth year, the family fell apart and it was awful for me. It left me traumatised - scared of people, new places, loud noises, and sudden movements - and I developed health problems that went untreated.

Then things got better. A kind, older couple took me in and nursed me back to health. My new home is on a small acreage in the countryside and within a few months I was healthy and coping much better emotionally. I could untuck my tail and even wag it sometimes. I could run like the wind down the back paddock to visit the neighbours cows.

But then my life rollercoaster hurtled downwards again. I got bitten by a snake while walking around the yard with my carers. I didn’t even see it. Now I’m an inpatient at the 24-hour vet’s in Cairns, Queensland. My care has cost nearly three thousand dollars so far and could cost that much again before I’m able to go home.

My carers don’t have much money – they’re doing it tough. If you could help them it would help me.
