Dog thrown out in trash bag needs surgery
Donation protected
For anyone who knows Laurie and Ken Jalbert, to say they have been through hell in the last year and a half is an understatement. Since Ken was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, surgery and treatments have left him more and more debilitated. They had to sell their house and down size to a camper to make life affordable with all of his care and medications. They chose to move down south to warmer weather and where it is more affordable. Not knowing how long Ken has left has been agonizing for Laurie. But recently a friend rescued a little dog that was left in a trash bag and gave it to Ken and Laurie. Ken and the little dog he named Callaway soon became inseparable. Laurie and Ken treated this little ray of sunshine like their child. They finally had something in their life that brought joy and happiness, but on November 3rd, Callaway jumped off the bed and broke his leg. Laurie and Ken rushed him to the emergency vet and were told it would cost thousands to surgically repair his leg. They had to make a heartbreaking decision and sign him over to the clinic who said they would fix his leg and find him a new home. The purpose of this go fund me is to pay for the surgery so he can be reunited with Ken and Laurie. I am determined to try my best to get this little dog back in the arms of his loving owners so they can share what ever time Ken has left. Callaway loves his new family and must be wondering when they are coming back for him. Please help me give Ken the one thing that has given him joy, love, and happiness, his little pup back. If we can't reach our goal, all proceeds will go directly to Ken's medical needs. Thank you for donating and sharing this campaign.
