Doe Celeste Newton passed away on January 21st, 2020 after 9 years of fighting breast cancer that developed into a terminal illness. Now she is no longer in pain and has finally been freed from this life’s challenges and diseases. She grew up on Dog River in Douglas County, Georgia in her parents’ log house and has always had a piece of her heart remain there. This is why we decided to place a memorial bench at the Dog River Public Library so that everyone here close in Georgia can have somewhere to gather and remember their best memories of and with her. Her favorite place to visit was this library and she loved to find a few good books there when she could or even loved to just sit and admire the architecture of the library. She will be buried in Texas in our family cemetery so this will be our place to remember her by here in Georgia. Any contribution is greatly appreciated. Thank you and screw cancer.
