My name is Lynn Madison. I have advocated and raised funds for animals of the unhoused since 1999. My main focus is raising funds for veterinary care and dog coats.

I know when we all see an unhoused person with their animal companion walking in the cold and rain it hurts our hearts. This is the main reason why I started a dog coat fundraiser many years ago. The life of the human as well as the animal is very difficult. The fact that we can give them a waterproof/flannel backed dog coat to keep them warm and dry is such a gift. I can't begin to tell you the feeling I get when I see a dog with one of our coats on knowing, because of us, they are warm and dry. Just the best.

You and I raised $3,615 last year and close to 300 dog coats were distributed to agencies and individuals who outreach to our unhoused for their animal companions.

Here are a few organizations who received dog coats to hand out to our unhoused:

Clyde - veterinarian working with Elica who offers medical/veterinary services to the unhoused and their animal companion.

Jenna - HOAP - Front Street Shelter program that outreaches to our unhoused and their animals.

Individuals who go out to camps and hand out dog coats and other supplies.

With your help, we can reach $4,000 and buy even more dog coats. We ran out of funds with many animals still in need of dog coats last year.
