Doesn't every child deserve a great summer?
My name is Chanie Zalmanov and my answer is a resounding yes!
For the past 17 years, I have devoted my summers to running a day camp in Queens, NY. Children look forward to the long summer months to connect with friends and participate in exciting activities, events, and trips.
But sadly, for so many children, summer camp of any kind is a luxury their parents cannot afford. Many children need a respite from the daily stress and trauma of their lives. Schools are closed and the security of a safe space and daily meals eludes many a child.
Every year, desperate parents reach out to me to help get their children out of the house and into camp. I hear so many versions of the same story. It's never easy saying no. But after giving out the maximum number of scholarships I can, I am left with many children anxiously awaiting a response.
I am turning to you to partner with me and help give these children what is rightfully theirs - a fun filled summer in a safe environment filled with loving and caring staff.
You donation WILL make a difference in the life of a child this summer. Together let's give 10 disadvantaged children the summer of a lifetime!
$2,000 = Full summer sponsored for 1 child
$1,000 = One session sponsored for 1 child
$ 250 = One week sponsored for 1 child
