DOES KATIE BIBLE HAVE A PRAYER? Help Restore Her Safe Haven

Donation protected
Katie Bible & her 3 year-old recently fled their home at 2am, after several inches of torrential rain runoff overtook their entire house. Homeowners insurance does not cover this damage. They don't live near water, so Katie didn't have flood insurance. Now she's facing $10,000-20,000 in repairs to: 1) redirect runoff in order to prevent future damage; and 2) make the flooring safe for her toddler to re-enter the house.

The bill from the water remediation company is $11,000, which Katie is paying over time. Between this, a mortgage & car payment, nothing is left to make the repairs. Katie is a first-time homeowner who bought the home less than a year ago. So she doesn't yet have equity to borrow against.

Katie's dream of home ownership, of providing a secure place to raise her little one, has turned into a nightmare. Threat of bankruptcy and/or losing the home looms. Some might say that Katie doesn't have a prayer.

But she does! Katie is a woman of faith, who believes in the kindness of her community and the power of prayer. She's praying for a loaves and fishes miracle.

Can you help? Your donation of $5, $50, $500 or $5000 for repairs will demonstrate the saving power of love in action and help restore this family to peace and safety. Secure donations can be made through this GoFundMe website. If you prefer, checks made out to Katie Bible can be mailed to:

Katie hopes to be resettled with her child before school starts this fall. She hopes to work quickly with volunteer laborers to complete repairs by August 15, 2025. Katie works in the healthcare field and is used to helping others. It is humbling for her to be asking for help.

Katie and her friends & family will lift up donors in prayer with thanksgiving. Because Katie has a prayer:

"My grace is sufficient for you, for God's power is made perfect in weakness." 2 Cor 12:9

and

"and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us. " Rm 5:5

and

"We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. " Rm 8:28

Financial times are challenging for many. If you are unable to contribute financially, Katie asks for your prayers and that you may forward this to others. Thank you and God bless.
