Dodger Danimals Rally for Bailey's Recovery

Hello my Dodger Danimals!
First off, for anyone that has clicked on the link and are reading through this, thank you so much for even spending the time to read through this. If you clicked this link, you probably know, but our dear Bailey will be undergoing surgery for a severe case of Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD) sometime today or tomorrow. We are in a bit of shock as Bailey's condition went from mild to severe very quickly. Late Thursday evening, we noticed that Bailey was shaking and experiencing some pain, so we fed her some pain killers and by Friday morning she seemed to have recovered. However, by Saturday morning, Bailey had lost all use of her legs and was effectively paralyzed in her bottom half. After taking some X-rays and consulting with our primary vet on Saturday, we made the decision to go to the ER early Sunday morning, as her condition did not seem to be getting better, and time was of the essence if we were going to opt for surgery.
We went to VCA LA this morning, and after consultation with the team there, we opted to have surgery done, as it provided us the best chance at a positive prognosis. We felt very confident in the team at VCA LA and did not hesitate in making this decision for Bailey.
Although we do not regret the decision to have Bailey go through the surgery, we did not have pet insurance and were not prepared for this unexpected bill. (SIDE NOTE: EVERYONE GO GET PET INSURANCE!) So, please, there is no expectation, but if you can, we would be grateful for any amount of contribution you are able to give.
Thank you all, and as always, Go Dodgers!
