I'm a documentary photographer and journalist based in Bangkok, covering Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor — a manufacturing zone spanning Rayong, Chonburi, Chachoengsao, and Prachinburi, where foreign-owned factories are dumping chemical waste and toxic runoff into local water systems.

The water is no longer safe to drink. Rice and durian farming — the primary income for many communities here — has been damaged. Locals and activists report rising medical issues, and some who speak out say they've been threatened for it.

I've spent the past several months photographing the protest movement pushing back against the EEC's expansion into more provinces and national parks. This is ongoing work. I need funding to keep doing it right.

What the money covers:
• Bus fare and local transport within the EEC provinces
• Accommodation during multi-day reporting trips
• Food during fieldwork
• Thai-language translation for interviews — much of this story depends on hearing directly from the communities living with the contamination, not just observing it

Why this matters:
This story has barely traveled outside Thailand, despite multiple countries' companies being implicated. Photography puts a face on a policy failure that's easy to ignore from a distance. That's the whole bet here — that seeing it changes how people read about it, and that eventually that pressure reaches the people who can regulate it.

I'll post field updates and photos as the work continues.
