BLACK MAMAS NEED YOUR HELP...... Imagine going to the hospital expecting to have your baby and the joyful experience that comes along with that only to find out that you will be going home empty handed. Unfortunately that's the reality for so many black women. And then to be left with the mental strains of the experience of being a mom with no baby. This is just one of many circumstances currently affecting black women. Black women are suffering from maternal mental health issues in silence. Gone are the days that our women have to be so strong, and that they need no one to help them. There are so many struggling and either don't get help or the right kind of help.
Helping to make this documentary a reality will be life saving to many women. I am very passionate about the many circles of women that we help on a daily basis because I know that postpartum depression and anxiety and psychosis don't discriminate about who they affect but they come in and destroy so many black women and families that we have got to stop turning the blind eye and start helping our women more than ever after they give birth because literally their life and their child's life is depending on it.
If you are reading this post you are no longer uninformed as to the current state of our women's mental health after giving birth and now that you know, help be apart of the solution to make change happen. There are hundreds of thousands women depending on your support for change..... Please Donate so that we show women of color that their voices do matter and we deserve to receive maternal mental health care that is beneficial to our recovery process.
