Documentary on German Diez Nieto
Donation protected
It's been a little over four years since the passing of Maestro Diez. This documentary project wants to be a tribute to the man and the artist, as well as the father and mentor he had been for so many members of the community of musicians he raised and nurtured in his life.
Documentary director and tv author Antongiulio Panizzi has embraced this project and has worked with me to start attracting interest and attention. We were able to secure some initial funds to interview Alfredo Diez, German's brother and first mentor in Cuba. Cuban cultural institutions are extremely interested in the project and one of the major Cuban production companies will cover all the post-production costs. We are at the moment reaching out to American producers and talking to the potential interested partners to support the costs of shooting the interviews with German's pupils and colleagues in New York City.
In the meantime, we need some financial support to cover the costs of few interviews and shooting sessions that cannot be postposed.
This documentary is a testament of Maestro Diez's legacy and I hope we can all make a team effort to accomplish this important goal. Your support, no matter how big or small, will have a great impact for this project.
Love,
Francesca
