Hello - we have successfully met our goal! To those who have donated, we thank you and appreciate you. Once the documentary is created and ready for sharing, we will be certain to let you know.
~Joel, and the rest of the Basa Village Foundation Board of Directors
Hi everyone! My name is Joel Meyers, and I’m raising money for a cause that means a lot to me. In 2012, Basa Village Foundation was created (I was one of the original founders and am on the board) to help a rural region in Nepal, and over the years we've helped improve the villager's lives through funding smokeless stoves, educators, building schools, bringing water to each home, and more.
COVID was devastating since a lot of their economy was tied to portering for tourists. During this time we funded an animal husbandry project and Basa Village is interested in learning new agriculture methods and crops that they can bring to market.
We have the opportunity to have a professional film-maker, Ben Wallbank (www.benwallbank.com) create a documentary about our impact, and we need your help funding this effort. All donations are tax deductible as funds go directly to Basa Village Foundation, a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit.
The amount we are striving to raise is $10,000.
A short documentary will go a LONG WAY in our efforts to help the world understand what we are achieving, and will help us raise funds so that we can help Basa and more villages receive better healthcare, education, and improved economic opportunities.
Every contribution, big or small, makes a real impact. Even just a few dollars can help move this mission forward and reach those who need it most.
If you can’t donate right now, sharing this fundraiser is also incredibly helpful. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. It means the world to us.
