Documentary Film - BIOHAZARD (Type 1 Diabetes interest)

Donation protected
Hi my name is Lillian and I’ve been an insulin dependent type 1 diabetic in Canada for 28 years now.

I’m one of the lucky ones, free of any complications of this horrible disease. Despite my life-long commitment to living a meaningful life, I was not successful in my 4 year long attempt to get a biohazardous waste sharps bin installed at the Senate of Canada, where I worked from 2021-2024 in a Senator’s Office.

When I started digging deeper into the marginalization and intersectionality lived by persons with Type 1 Diabetes, especially in Canada, the birthplace of insulin - I am ashamed of what I learned. This documentary aims to reclaim the narrative of my own lived experiences in sharing them with caring and inquisitive people like you !

Join me on this journey of resilience, self-discovery, and hope for a better future.
