FUNNYMAN...The Mickey Rose Story

Hi!

My name is Jennifer Rose and I am the daughter of the late venerated comedy writer, Mickey Rose. He wrote Take the Money and Run and Bananas with his high school pal Woody Allen. My dad went on to write for Johnny Carson, All in the Family, The Odd Couple, Taxi, Happy Days, Mork and Mindy, and wrote and directed the cult horror spoof film Student Bodies. I’ve interviewed incredibly talented friends, colleagues, writers, directors and actors, such as Louise Lasser, Eric Lax, Michael Barrie, Mel Brooks, Wayne Federman, Jeff Garlin, Fred Melamed, Howard Storm, Marshall Brickman, Sybil Adelman Sage and Woody Allen! Each story I hear brings me closer to my dad whom I miss desperately! I will end with a quote by Woody from my dad’s obituary in 2013 from The Los Angeles Times, “Mickey was one of the funniest humans I know, a true original and a total eccentric..."
